You Were Supposed to Be My Peace - But You Went After My Wife! - Anthony SNAPS on Shayla, Then Her Sister Jumps In!
[INT. SHAYLA'S LIVING ROOM – TENSION EXPLODES]
Anthony storms into the room, his jaw tight, fists clenched.
Anthony: “Shayla… what the hell is wrong with you?! Huh? Why would you go over there?”
Shayla stands her ground, unbothered.
Shayla: “Don’t come in here yelling at me. You’ll see your child in two days. What you mad about now?”
Anthony: “No, don’t flip this. The first thing I hear is you went to my wife’s house — slamming doors, starting drama!”
Shayla: “Drama? I asked her a question.”
Anthony: “After I told you not to! I told you nothing’s going on between me and Amber — but you insisted on causing chaos!”
Shayla: “If there’s nothing going on, why are you so protective over her?”
Anthony (pointing): “Because you’re always trying to stir something up! You talk about being my peace — but all you ever bring is war!”
Shayla scoffs, crossing her arms.
Shayla: “You don’t get to blame me for asking questions. You’re the one acting shady.”
Anthony: “No. You went over there to create a problem. That ain’t peace — that’s a headache!”
He steps closer, voice rising.
Anthony: “You were supposed to be my peace… but you my biggest damn headache!”
Shayla: “Your wife, huh? You out here choosing her over your own child. You didn’t even kiss your son today!”
Anthony: “That’s low, Shayla. Don’t bring my son into this. You made this mess.”
Suddenly, Shayla’s sister storms in from the hallway.
Sister: “Get off my sister, Anthony! What are you even doing here?! Leave her alone!”
Anthony: “You need to stay out of this.”
Sister: “Nah, you come in here yelling like you own the place. You don’t live here! You’re out there protecting your ‘wife’ while hurting the mother of your child!”
Shayla (cutting in): “Exactly! That marriage is done — you need to get serious, Anthony. We’re not fools.”
Anthony, jaw tightening, breathing heavy.
Anthony: “Yeah… I do need to get serious. Starting with who I give my energy to.”
Shayla: “That’s right. Walk away. Just like always.”
Anthony stares at her for a long second — full of rage, confusion, and regret — before storming out the door.
[DOOR SLAMS]
Sister: “Girl, don’t let him come in here disrespecting you like that. You deserve better.”
Shayla (softly): “I thought I was his peace… turns out I was just his excuse.”
